Attorney Profile
I have been practicing law in Southwest Washington since 2006 and I love the people of this community. Most recently, I was the Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Skamania County Washington, while maintaining a limited private law practice. In that role I was successful in several difficult criminal jury trials. I was also Deputy Prosecutor for Clark County from 2012 to 2017. And before that I was a City Attorney for the City of Vancouver from 2009 to 2012. During my career I have prosecuted essentially every kind of crime including Homicide, Rape, Assault, Financial Fraud, Domestic Violence, Child Sex Abuse, and traffic offenses such as Vehicular Assault and Driving Under the Influence.
To date, I have completed more than 50 felony jury trials and 100 misdemeanor jury trials and have had success with many complex cases. Throughout my ten plus years practicing law I have built excellent relationships with Judges, Court Clerks, Crime Victims, Victim Advocates and my fellow Attorneys. I have also trained law enforcement and new prosecutors in my offices. In my private practice I have handled family law trials, a guardianship jury trial and helped multiple clients with a variety of legal issues.
I originally grew up in Utah and still love my Utah Ute college teams. After college, I obtained my Juris Doctorate at Lewis and Clark College of Law in Portland, OR where I was an Associate Editor for the Law Review and received a Criminal Law Certificate. I love the Pacific Northwest and enjoy snowboarding, backpacking, running, the Green Bay Packers and a delicious microbrew.
